Volunteers Needed: Sangha Support Net
Arcata Zen Group is looking for a small team to co-lead the co-ordination of our Sangha Support Net, a community of care that supports sangha members and their families during times of illness, loss, recovery, and other important life transitions, as well as celebrations such as Jukai, marriages, births, and house blessings.
Volunteers may:
Coordinate meals, rides, errands, or other short-term practical support.
Help organize ceremonies and celebrations.
Maintain a list of volunteers and the support they are able to offer.
Serve as a point of contact for requests while helping ensure confidentiality.
Meet occasionally with the team to coordinate and strengthen this practice of generosity.
No one person is expected to do it all. We hope to build a team that shares these responsibilities together.
