Update from the Teacher Search Committee

An update on the Call Letter and current applicants:

After consulting with sangha members, the Ways and Means Committee, and the Board, the Teacher Search Committee has made revisions to the Call Letter that was sent out in early September. You can read the new Call Letter here. The main changes are that the position is no longer described as part-time and the maximum of the contracted stipend has been increased.

We have also received one application thus far: Andrea Thach. We will be arranging a visit and interview, hopefully for early in 2026. 

We trust we'll receive more applications in the coming months as the first Call Letter had not yet been published in the Branching Streams newsletter. The revised letter will also be resent to the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and the Gen X Buddhist Teachers. 

We will have time during the All-Sangha Meeting on Dec 7 for questions and discussion about the path forward for this next important step for AZG.
