Update: Sunday Evening Zazen at 4pm

An Update on AZG’s New Practice Offering Weekly on Sundays at 4pm

Sunday evening zazen has been going great. In person attendance can be as many as 6-8 people, and attendees feel supported by the zazen only program with no service. A big thank you to Barry, Dana and Chris for helping to be a host. More hosts are needed so the Sunday evening zazen can continue into the fall and winter season. Currently we only have two active hosts, and we would like to have one host for each week of the month. It would be great if two more people could help with the hosting role. The host arrives about ten minutes early to unlock the doors, start zoom, and lights the altar candles. The host will also ring the bell three times to start zazen, and ring the bell once to end zazen. We are happy to show anyone how to do this to make hosting a simple volunteer task. The current hosts coordinate with each other monthly, so each person can pick dates to host that work best for ones schedule. And the hosts are flexible with adjusting hosting dates as things come up in our schedules. Please help host once per month if you are able. If interested, please let Chris or Dana know as they are the current Sunday evening hosts. Feel free to inquire when you see them at the temple, or send a message to info@arcatazengroup.org
