Informal Time with Dharma Friends
A Note from Gene & the Practice Committee
Dear Sangha,
There has been a lot of enthusiasm lately for more informal time together – in part inspired by Milli’s generous offers for making bead jewelry and malas. Practice Committee is considering a change and we would like your input.
We have done ‘game nights’ over the past year and more are scheduled for 2026. We are considering having some of that scheduled time become crafting sessions instead of games. We are also considering the possibility of offering crafting sessions at another agreeable time that might not interfere with job or family time.
What is a crafting session you might ask – this is a time when people can bring anything they are making or learning how to make – for example crochet, sewing, collage, beading, macrame – completely open-ended as long as they are bringing their own supplies. Generally, people enjoy their craft and conversation, pretty light-hearted and fun.
For game nights we are looking for someone who can choose an easy-to-learn game, teach it, and coordinate the evening.
Does any of this sound fun to you? Please speak with/ email me directly, or anyone on Practice Committee: Beverly, Easton, Paula, Anita.
warm bows,
Gene
