The purpose of the Arcata Zen Group is to provide opportunities for the study and practice of Soto Zen Buddhism. Our emphasis is to integrate spiritual practice and daily life. You are welcome to join as a Member or Friend, but neither is required to participate in sangha activities.  If you find you are meditating and attending programs regularly, we encourage you to consider becoming a member.

Membership

In order to support our activities and maintain our practice places, we request that active members pledge their financial support for AZG. There is no mandatory membership fee. Members can participate in community decision-making and vote for members of the Board. A person continues their member status by filling out and submitting a member form annually. Some announcements are sent out via the public newsletter — please sign up for this individually from the Home Page. Upon becoming a member, you will be subscribed to a private email list to receive the e-Bulletin Board announcements and contact list updates. Join as a Member here.
